BOARDS & COMMISSIONS

The Planning Board (231-4196) controls the development of land in terms of safe access and utilities. This Board has public hearings and also holds site plan reviews which can include traffic and environmental studies. There are five appointed members:

The Board of Appeals (231-4113) controls variances from existing zoning and appeals against the building inspector for his actions or failure to act. This board can also grant some special permits. There are five appointed members:

  • Peter Rossetti, Jr.
  • Robert Favuzza

The Conservation Commission (231-4129) is concerned with the protection of natural resources. This can include wet lands, marshes and open spaces. They are also concerned with pollution and dumping issues. this Board has seven appointed members:

The Board of Health (231-4120) is concerned with health issues such as food sanitation, compliance with state health codes, restaurants and markets. They also have jurisdiction over rubbish and waste disposal. The Board of Health has five appointed members:
